Safari Itinerary

Arrival Day

Our representative at JAMBO MAASAI TOURSwill meet you for an introductory briefing upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, before a transfer to Tourist Hotel in Moshi or Arusha Town for your tour and safari. Overnight at your hotel in Moshi / Arusha on Bed and breakfast basis.

Day 1: Moshi / Arusha – Tarangire
After breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park, enjoy a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch. The park consists of natural vegetation mainly of Acacia woodland and giant African Baobab trees, with huge swamp areas in the south. Both the river and the swamps act like a magnet for wild animals, during Tanzania’s dry season. The Tarangire National Park is reputed to contain some of the largest elephant herds in Africa.
DAY 2 : Tarangire - Serengeti
After breakfast, transfer to Lake Manyara for game drive with picnic lunch packet for a morning tour of Lake Manyara National Park after lunch transfer to Central Serengeti (Seronera) for dinner and overnight at Serengeti National Park. Lake Manyara National Park is the oldest and most developed Wildlife reserve in Tanzania, Fantalle volcano, extensive mineral hot springs, and extra ordinary volcanic formations. Noted for its numerous buffalo, elephant, giraffe, impala, hippo, and a great variety of smaller animals. On the shores of the Soda Lake, over 350 species of birds including flamingos, pelican, storks, scared ibis, cormorants and Egyptian geese seen wondering. The most famous spectacle are the tree – climbing lions which spend most of the day spread out along the branches of acacia trees, six to seven meters above the ground. Apart from wildlife, the spectacular view of the Great Rift Valley adds to the attraction of the Park’s ecosystem. As you enter the National Park gate checkpoint you will pass into the forest, home to the baboons and blue monkeys live among other species observed in a single day. After lunch transfer to Central Serengeti (Seronera) tour en-route for dinner and overnight.
Day 3 & 4: Full Day Serengeti

After breakfast, transfer to southwest to proceed in exploring the Serengeti plains. The whole atmosphere at the National Parks is interesting, gentle, friendly and totally accepting which can never be replicated in a zoo or a wildlife park other than in Tanzania. Truly, Serengeti is a place full of romantic life where you can enjoy nature at its best. You will spend the whole day viewing game at the southwestern Serengeti plains. Meals and overnight at Serengeti (Seronera) National Park.

An excursion in the famous Serengeti national Park, the zenith of satisfaction achieved by finding vantage points from where one can watch the captivity scenery rich in natural fauna & flora.  Balloon flying provides the biggest opportunity to view wildebeest and zebras followed by predators migrate across the vast plains and landscape in search of land with plenty of grass and water.

DAY 5 : Game Drive At Central Serengeti (Full Day)
After breakfast, have a full-day game drive in the park, lunch at the lodge /campsite. The park has an endless plain which is a home for lions, leopards, elephants, cheetah, buffalo, wildebeest migration, eland, wild dogs, gazelle, crocodiles and many more. Also, you will enjoy a variety of birds that decorate the park with different sounds.
DAY 6 : Serengeti – Ngorongoro
Enjoy early breakfast, have a morning game drive, Then we depart to Ngorongoro Conservation area with game drive en route.
Day 7: Ngorongoro – Arusha or Moshi – Kilimanjaro Airport

Early morning breakfast, then depart to Lake Manyara for game drive.
The park have varied habitat that attracts a wide variety of animals, including one of Africa’s largest concentrations of elephants, Lake Manyara’s unique tree-climbing lions, zebra, buffalo, giraffe, baboons, warthog, as well as large flocks of flamingos attracted by the algae in the lake.
