Day 1: Arrival in Tanzania
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be greeted by our Safari guide and transferred to your hotel in Moshi or Arusha for overnight stay. You will have a briefing about your upcoming climb and safari.
Day 2-7: Machame Route Kilimanjaro Climb
You will start your 6-days Kilimanjaro climb on the Machame Route. The Machame Route is one of the most scenic routes up Kilimanjaro and offers great acclimatization opportunities. You will climb through diverse landscapes including rainforest, moorland, alpine desert, and glaciers.
Your experienced guide and team of porters will support you during the climb. You will spend nights in tents at designated campsites along the route. On the 6th day, you will reach the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro, Uhuru Peak, and enjoy the incredible views from the roof of Africa.
Day 8: Transfer to Tarangire National Park
After descending from Kilimanjaro, you will be transferred to Tarangire National Park for the start of your 7-days Tanzania safari. Tarangire National Park is known for its large herds of elephants and iconic baobab trees. You will enjoy game drives in the park and spend the night at a lodge or tented camp.
Day 9: Lake Manyara National Park
You will visit Lake Manyara National Park, famous for its tree-climbing lions and diverse birdlife. You will have a game drive in the park and enjoy lunch overlooking the lake. In the afternoon, you will continue to your accommodation for overnight stay.
Day 10: Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Today you will descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to a high concentration of wildlife, including the endangered black rhino. You will enjoy a full day of game driving in the crater and have a picnic lunch. In the evening, you will head to your accommodation for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 11-12: Serengeti National Park
You will spend the next two days exploring the vast Serengeti National Park, famous for its annual Great Migration of wildebeest and zebras. You will have game drives in different areas of the park, searching for the Big Five and other wildlife. You will stay at a lodge or tented camp in the park for two nights.
Day 13: Departure
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the nearest airstrip for your flight back to Arusha or Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward journey. This marks the end of your 6-days Kilimanjaro climb and 6-days Tanzania safari.
